Itinerary
🛬 Morning Arrival – Pick up at Juanda Airport (SUB), Surabaya.
🚗 Scenic Drive – 4-hour comfortable transfer to the Tumpak Sewu highland.
🏨 Accommodation – Check-in at Tumpak Sewu Homestay (Rest & Relax).
🌙 Free Time – Enjoy the local atmosphere and prepare for the adventure.
06:00 AM – Wake up and enjoy the fresh mountain air of Tumpak Sewu.
06:30 AM – Start the trekking adventure. Discover the panoramic view from the top viewpoint and descend to the canyon floor to see the majestic waterfall from below.
10:00 AM – Finish trekking and return to the homestay to refresh.
11:00 AM – Brunch and preparation for check-out.
12:00 PM – Depart from Tumpak Sewu. Enjoy a scenic 4-hour drive towards the Bromo area.
05:00 PM – Estimated arrival and check-in at Nawasena Guesthouse (or similar).
07:00 PM – Briefing for the Bromo Sunrise tour and free time.
02:00 AM – Wake up call and early preparation for the Bromo adventure.
02:15 AM – Depart by car to the Jeep meeting point and switch to a 4WD Toyota Land Cruiser.
03:00 AM – Drive through the sea of sand to reach the Sunrise Viewpoint (Penanjakan/Kingkong Hill).
04:30 AM – Witness the Golden Sunrise of Bromo, one of the most iconic landscapes in Indonesia.
06:00 AM – Return to the Jeep and head towards the Bromo volcanic crater.
07:00 AM – Start the hike to the rim of Bromo Crater, passing the historic Luhur Poten Holy Temple.
08:30 AM – Return to the Jeep with a photo stop at the mystical Widodaren Hill or the lush Savanna (Teletubbies Hill).
09:30 AM – Arrive back at the village, switch back to the private car, and enjoy a well-deserved breakfast.
10:00 AM – Return to the guesthouse for a shower and check-out preparation.
12:00 PM – Depart from Bromo and begin the 4-hour drive to the Bondowoso/Ijen area.
05:00 PM – Estimated arrival and check-in at your hotel in Bondowoso. Free evening at your leisure.
12:00 AM (Midnight) - Wake up call, check out from the hotel, and depart for the Ijen Crater area.
02:00 AM - Arrive at Paltuding (Basecamp). Meet your local guide and enjoy a short briefing over a warm cup of coffee or tea.
02:15 AM - Begin the midnight hike to reach the crater rim.
03:30 AM - Blue Fire Viewing Experience:
Please Note: The Blue Flame is visible from the crater rim at a maximum distance of 500 meters, subject to volcanic activity and supportive weather conditions for your safety.
04:30 AM - Reach the Summit of Mt. Ijen to witness the stunning turquoise acid lake and a spectacular sunrise over the sulfur clouds.
06:30 AM - Begin the descent back to the Paltuding basecamp.
07:30 AM - Arrive at the basecamp, enjoy a short rest, and refresh.
08:30 AM - Depart from Mt. Ijen. You can choose to return to Surabaya or continue your journey to Bali.
09:30 AM - Arrive at Ketapang Ferry Port, Banyuwangi.
10:00 AM - Board the ferry for a 1-hour crossing to Bali.
11:30 AM (Bali Time) - Arrive at Gilimanuk Port, Bali (Note: Bali is 1 hour ahead of Java).
04:00 PM - Estimated arrival at your hotel in the Ubud / Kuta / Seminyak area.

Yes. Please make sure the flight arrival is before 4:00 AM. If by train, 1hour before pick up time is fine.
Yes, either Surabaya or Denpasar airport are possible. Please make sure the flight/train departure is 2hours later than 5:00 PM (17:00), flight leave around 19:00 should be fine. IF will take train to the west like Yogyakarta, we suggest in Ketapang train station.
Yes. But you will leave it in the car while you’re doing the activity.
Currently the National Park policy is not allowing to fly drone on any point/ spot.
Tour available daily. Unless there is a closure by the local authority due to local’s event or any routine agenda with a prior notice.
Driving duration to Bondowoso from Bromo is 4 hours, vs direct to Ijen (from Bromo) can take 6 hours. It’s just to split the 6 hours driving time instead of take long driving for one time, it is the way more convenience. However sometimes if we run out of availability in Bondowoso, we will alter the overnight location to Ijen.
